Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 September 2026
Welcome to The Betting Forum (thebettingforum.co.uk, the “Website”), operated by theracingforum.co.uk Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By registering for an account or using the Website you agree to these Terms of Use, our Forum Rules, our Disclaimer and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Who can use the Website
You must be at least 18 years old to register or post. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or over and that it is lawful for you to access betting-related content where you live. We may close any account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 18.
2. Your account
One person, one account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account. Usernames cannot be changed after registration, must not impersonate anyone else and must not be offensive or misleading. Your account is shared with our sister site, The Racing Forum, and these terms apply to your use of both. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. What you post
You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting it you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, store, reproduce and distribute it on the Website and in connection with promoting it, for as long as the content remains on the Website. You are responsible for what you post. You must not post anything that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, obscene, discriminatory, infringes anyone’s rights (including copyright), reveals private information about others, is spam or advertising we have not agreed to, or otherwise breaks the Forum Rules. Please link to third-party material rather than copying large parts of it.
4. Tips and opinions
Everything posted on the Website by members, including selections, tips, systems and opinions, is that member’s personal view. Nothing on the Website is financial, legal or professional advice, and we do not verify claims of past results. Any bet you place is entirely your own decision and at your own risk. Please read our Disclaimer and Responsible Gambling pages.
5. Moderation
We may edit, move, close or remove any content and suspend or ban any account, with or without notice, if we believe our rules or these terms have been broken or the spirit of the community is being undermined. We are not obliged to explain moderation decisions. A banned member may not open another account.
6. Our content
The design of the Website, our name and logos, and the articles we publish are owned by us or our licensors. You may share links to our pages freely, and quote short extracts with attribution, but you may not copy, scrape or republish substantial parts of the Website without our written permission.
7. Availability and changes
The Website is provided free of charge and “as is”. We aim to keep it available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time. We may also update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. Significant changes will be announced in the Site News & Feedback forum.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Website, from reliance on any content posted on it, or from any bet or financial decision you make. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
9. Third-party sites and links
The Website may contain links to bookmakers, exchanges and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. If a link is an affiliate link from which we may earn a commission, we will say so.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms: admin@thebettingforum.co.uk, or post in the Site News & Feedback forum.
